Birthday to me!

So although January was a pretty boring uneventful month I did get to celebrate my 23rd birthday. I went up to Park City with my beautiful mother for the Sundance Film Festival. We just wanted to see some famous people that's all. I always like to go there on my birthday. Last year I was in Cozumel Mexico so I had to do something fun this year.

We did see Blyth Danner, but that was about the most exciting person that was on main street. Lunch was interesting though. We ended up at a bar! haha Random.

After Park City Mom and I met up with my Dad and DJ at Pei Wei my new favorite! Before dinner though we stopped at my Parents house and Amber and Gregg's family were there to wish me happy birthday and sing to me. So sweet. We had cake as an appetizer and I opened some presents. My darling sister Megan made me a cake plate that is so fun and my Mom gave me a design book by one of my favorite designers Rachel Ashwell, and a bundle of Tulips. I also got mums and a small digital camera for our cruise (in 21 days) from my wonderful hubby. I love quite happy birthdays. They make me so happy.

The day before my birthday everyone at work was so sweet. Dear Cathy made me Banana Cake and put sticky notes all over my bin. She is no longer working at Osmonds and I can't even begin to explain how much she is missed. I will always love that girl. She is amazing.

Then on some random notes from the month. They built a house on the lot behind ours. It sure gives our house a different feeling. There goes Harley's pooping grounds, and my yard feels tiny now. Blah it stinks but it'll be nice not to have so many weeds from the field.

Then of course Harley Harley. We did have an incident at the beginning of the month with him. We fed him a bone from dinner and it splintered and was cutting up his tummy. Luckily he ended up being ok but that was a very expensive $200 bone (vet bill). The poor thing wouldn't stop throwing up. He didn't feel so hot in this picture you could just tell.

Then really the only other thing that is going on is that I signed up to be in the Red Rock Relay. Which is like the Ragnar but the St. George version. 187 mile relay from Cedar City to Zions National Park. I'm in a group called the SOLE SISTERS. It's my Mother-in-law Dana and her sisters and friends. It should be very interesting. If you know me I haven't ran in years. I eat what I want when I want to and don't even think about exercising. So I have started training..... and it is going..... slow. I have hope but very little that I'll make it. My sister Misty has been awesome in letting me tag along with her at the Rec to run. It's in Sept. so I have some time.

Atlanta Market

So I have been going to the Atlanta accessory market for three years now. This year I finally got some pictures to share.

I go with my boss Heather Osmond for about five days. Every year we go it is freezing and this year was the first year it wasn't an ice storm so we were actually able to fly in and out on the right days. So for any of you that haven't been to the market it is crazy! There are three buildings that each have about 20 floors, and each floor has about twenty showrooms and we try to see every one of them to make sure we don't miss out on anything new and exciting. We got a lot of great things this year for Osmonds.

There are amazing displays in some of the showrooms. Massive florals and grand chandeliers.

This is actually the barstool that I bought for my kitchen. They aren't quite this blue in real life but they are amazing! So excited to get them.

In building 3 is clothing and accessories. They have everything you could imagine. Hats, fun purses, great jewelry, name brand stuff like HOBO Wallets. (Which we got! Osmonds is only ganna sell them for $70 instead of the $110 that Nordstrom sells them at.) Anyway, that was my little sales pitch.

This chair won the most UGLIEST CHAIR award. I couldn't believe someone would actually order this thing.

The airports are always full of fun adventures for us. Heather got randomly chosen to spread her arms... Haha it was a good laugh.

After this crazy week of walking all day and being completely exhausted I'm so THANKFUL to be HOME! SO THANKFUL!

While I was gone my favorite thing about winter bloomed. I LOVE paper whites. (flower) The way they smell their look. Now my front entry looks so cute!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This Christmas was Crazy and of course very fun.

We spent a whole lot of time with family and a little bit of time being sick :(

We started out Christmas Eve with the Watkin Family. We ate yummy food, did a nativity scene, sat on Santa's lap, and did a gift exchange.

After that we headed over to the Boshards for some family gift exchanges and a round of pool.

DJ started to feel pretty sick so we left his Mom's a little early so he could go to bed, but on the way home we decided to stop in at my Parents to say Hi real fast..... and ended up staying and playing games. Well I did at least. DJ slept.

We played a couple of the Minute to Win it games. They were pretty funny. We got some pretty good black mail pictures of us all....

We opened the annual Mott PJ's that were so perfect and comfy this year. Then headed home for some nice Christmas dreams.

After a very miserable night (DJ really didn't feel good). We woke up to lots of presents under our tree and had a blast opening them all up! DJ had a "Welding" Christmas. He got a Welder, Apron, Gloves, and even had some nice little welding lessons. I got some silk panels for my master bedroom and a bunch of hair stuff that i so so so needed.

For our first stop on Christmas morning we had a fabulous breakfast at the Kasch house. The boys rocked out on Don's Guitar and new amp.

After we went and opened presents at the Boshards and then headed over to Grandma Bo's for dinner and some fun family time.

Then we made our last stop at the Mott's for some more presents. (we were way spoiled this year from all of our parents. THANKS A MILLION).

Harley was pretty beat from all the house swapping.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!

I had to work all day on New Years for inventory. NOT A FUN DAY! But thankfully it is over and then we went to my parents for some fun games and lots of laughs.

Justin was terrified of Harley when we first got him. Every time we bring him around he gets more and more comfortable with him. He even let him lick chocolate off his hand!

We fired off Fireworks around 10 so that the kids could see them.

Cameron brought over his xbox kinect and we played the dance game which was so fun! Kelly got really into it.

On a random note tonight as I was blogging Harley fell asleep on DJ's phone and it looked like he was talking on it.... LOVE our puppy!

We had a wonderful year and can't wait to see what the next one will bring us.

November odds and ends

Yahoo my laptop is fixed!
November and So far in December our lives over here have been really busy but with lots of little projects. Not anything really that exciting. i haven't been taking my camera to many places so there isn't that many exciting things to even show..... here it goes though.

So at the beginning of the month I painted my master bath and had my wonderful talented Mom paint some big peonies on the wall! I LOVE IT! It is such a perfect punch of color.

Once the room is complete I'll post pictures.

Then the week before Christmas we went up to Logan for Autumns birthday and Ashley and B had a very large extra tree they had cut down so we became the lucky owners. We had a large area in the corner of our family room that it fills perfect. Live trees are very hard to decorate though. Once I had it finally all done it fell over in the middle of the night. REALLY! I was so mad.

And while he put up the lights I did a wreath on the door and garland up the staircase. (that only lasted 2 weeks cause it was live and died while dropping all its needles? is that what you call them. :)

Then we spent quite a bit of time in the garage. I had a few tables that I repainted for my sister Ashley while DJ has a lot of motorcycle projects going on.

Then although these are all out of order we watched Dj's Dad dog Lailah for a weekend. It was kinda fun to have two dogs around. It makes me want another one. but a little one!

For an early Christmas present DJ got some of his welding things. He had some lessons and needed his hood so he got to open it first!

Then .....then then... I know it just keeps going. My brother in-law has a Motorcycle that he wanted to be redone. The only thing about it was that it had been leaned against a tree 25 years ago and the tree grew around the bike!

So he has been chipping away at the wood for a few weeks now. His little brother Jett even came over and took a shot at it.

So that is it. I know lots of grammar and spelling errors. No orderly fashion but at least it's done.

So my Laptop is broken at the moment and with it being this crazy holiday season DJ hasn't gotten around to fixing it. So, just in case this is the only chance I get until after Christmas. Does life ever slow down?

I know I keep saying it but our life is crazy busy. Now that it is the "Holiday Season" I think it might only get worse. So here comes LOTS of pictures.

I decided that Dj and I are a little obsessed with our dog Harley. So I just have to start off with a picture of him. i think i am even going to make him a stocking for Christmas. Don't Judge.

So probably one of the reasons why it has been so busy around here is because other then work I have been really trying to get our house looking good. I keep getting told by people that they would just love to see my house and i realized that my house isn't even close to what I would want it to look like so I have started my Winter project by getting paint on the walls. So this last month I did our Master bedroom and bathroom. Once I have the rooms finished I'll post pictures on my Peony Blog but for the record painting a ceiling is HARD. My arms hurt my neck hurt I had paint EVERYWHERE.

Dj enjoyed seeing the paint all in my hair. What i enjoyed the most was seeing HARLEY. We had eaten pizza and thrown it away in the same garbage bag as the paint cans that were mostly empty. Well Harley got into the bag when we were downstairs and came downstairs looking like this.

He had paint everywhere. It was so funny. He knew he was in trouble.

Then of course this month was Halloween. My Parents always have the best Halloweens. It always brings back such great childhood memories when we go there. We were boring and didn't dress up at all. We did dress up Harley. My mom bought him the cutest costume. He was a skeleton.

When we showed up there was this scarecrow outside that looked just like my dad. Harley sure didn't want to go near him. My Dad was out scaring all the children out trick or treating. It was really funny.

Cameron, Kathryn, Michael, Amber, Gregg, Colby, Tyson, Justin and my Mom and Dad were all there. We played murder in the dark and had lots of yummy food.

I was actually really lucky on Halloween. Well first of all I didn't get the memo about dressing up for Halloween at work so when I showed up and everyone else was dressed up we pinned up Snowflakes in my hair and called me a Christmas Tree.

Kathy was Donny's Oldest Fan! it was hilarious. Do you get it, Osmond Designs, Donny Osmond. bahahaha.

My Mom came and got me from work and took me to lunch and then I got to take the rest of the day off. So, I went home and carved pumpkins. I did our initials.

Anyway, I had to teach a Christmas decor class at Osmonds like I did last year. So this weekend was crazy anxiety for me. I get so nervous for those things. At least this year I didn't almost kill someone with a tree falling over. Maybe next year I'll get through it with out saying words like Antiquey, and cutesy. I swear I make up new words every year. Life is flying by!

Dj and I feel like life is just flying by. We both started working way more hours. He went from his wonderful 10 hour weeks to 40 and I went from 32 hours to 50. Life went into crazy mode. Then on top of the new work hours it has been really busy jumping into all the festivities with Halloween and Fall. This weekend especially was crazy. We had a bunch of friends over on Friday night. Brooke, Joey, Jen, Jon and Jadelynn all came over for what we are now calling the Halloween Sweet Fest. We did it last year and had so much fun we decided to start it up as a tradition. We made pumpkin cookies, caramel apples, homemade donuts, snicker doodles, broccoli and cheese soup, and bread sticks. We were pretty up on our sugar count. We carved pumpkins and pigged out all night. It was really fun to all get together.

The next morning I taught a Christmas Decor class for my Sister Amber's Relief Society super Saturday. It was a really good practice for the big Osmond Designs class I'm teaching in November. That evening my Sisters, Mom and I went to Witches Night Out up at Gardners Village in West Jordan. Meg and Ashley you were missed! :( We dressed up like pretty little witches and went to spend the night with the crowds and yes there were CROWDS. That event gets more and more crazy every year. We shopped and ate at Archabalds like everyone else there! It really is so fun to go to and for sure one of my favorite Halloween traditions.

Then to finish off the crazy weekend on Sunday we had some of Dj's family over for Sunday dinner. Dana, Rand, Whitney and Kameron all came over to try out my rookie cooking. I'm so not a cook. I just never do so I have no idea how to time big meals and all that This one actually turned out pretty good. There were a few mishaps but I'd say not to shabby. I was so excited to sit down and just relax for a little bit at the end of the day. I even fell asleep at like 9:30. Much needed!

Although the month of Sept. was crazy for us we don't have much to show for it.

We sure did love the last summer days though. I am sure sad it has gone away. We went on a Sunday stroll through the pathways around our house. The ponds are a lot of fun and we didn't really spend any time by them this summer.

Then probably the biggest deal of the month was DJ's new purchase. He bought another motorcycle. This one is a restore job for sure. It wasn't in the best condition so he has his work cut out for him. Its a Kawasaki kz 440.

We went to Logan for the day to pick it up so we stopped and ate at the firehouse pizza place.... yummy.

He has been working a ton on it and once it is down I'll show the finished project. It is starting to look pretty cool...

Some more random moments from this month ....

DJ surprised me with flowers for no reason one day! So adorable.

I have to add this so I won't forget.... (Remember that I blog to make a book). I work with the best ladies in the world. I had a bad day so the next day they all wore these sticky notes on their tags and said it was I LOVE CHELSEA DAY! It was hilarious and flattering. They made me feel so much better. I'm so spoiled.

I dyed my hair from my wonderful Blondie to an amazing Brown. I don't even have any pictures of my hair though so you'll just have to imagine until future posts.

On the other hand I have been busy getting ahead of the holidays and putting up Christmas at my work. I have already done 8 Trees. In fact one of my displays will be a two page spread in the Utah Valley Holiday Magazine Nov/Dec issue.

Then on to October we had the annual Grammy's Monster Mash this weekend and my WHOLE family was together which hasn't happened since June. We played lots of games and ate yummy food.

I had to add this cute picture! Harley is all ready for Halloween. He is gonna be a skeleton. I love it. Him not so much loving it.

End of Summer Craziness

Life around here has been crazy! We have been so busy in these last summer days. We have been camping and painting, playing and working.

Since it has been a month since my last update there is a lot to go over. :) I don't have a lot of pictures though....

DJ and I got a crazy idea one Saturday afternoon and decided to paint our main room in our house. I call it the Family room but Dj doesn't like that so we call it the big room now. Anyway, I have spent lots of time getting everything all put together and all my random projects done. Our house is really coming together and I just love it. I love when a house finally feels like a home. I need to get some pictures of our finished room..... but here are our painting pictures. So exciting I know.

I have had a lot of Design Jobs that have kept me busy and DJ has been busy with all his Hobbies.

Then the first weekend in September we went to Midway and camped on Friday night and spent all day Friday with the Mott's at Swiss Days then on Saturday met up with the Boshards in Park City for the Boshard Family Reunion. We had a lot of fun with everybody and really enjoyed the time out doors.

Then this week for me has been crazy! I have had a really busy work week and I went with my Mom and Aunt Roshelle up to Paradise to do flowers for my Sister Ashley's Cousin. We had a lot of fun all together but it was really long days and so exhausting.

A couples weeks ago my Mom and I also did a wedding for a friend of hers.

I also had BUNCO night at my house this week and had all the girls over. It was really fun but I learned one thing.... I am not meant for anxiety and Stress. It was miserable stressing over every little detail of having people over at my house. I am not a got host.

Anyway really random eclectic post but that was our Aug and Sept for the most part.

ST. GEORGE

We spent this weekend in St. George with My Parents and My Sister Misty and her family. We went and saw the Tuacan Play Little Mermaid. It was really cute and had really great special effects. It was pretty interesting how they did it all. REALLY GOOD!

We went to Sand Hollow all day on Saturday. We met up with a guy named Chad who I have worked with quite a bit he was my Scuba instructor. He drove down with all his gear and we all went Scuba Diving, and yes I mean ALL of us. Even my Mom and Sister did a Discover Scuba thing. They will be in rolling in a class soon I think.

I had so much anxiety about this dive. I was nervous about my ears hurting and the fish and the factor that there could be a bull shark in there. WHO KNOWS SOMEONE COULD HAVE LET ONE LOOSE. Once I got in the water though and started to dive it was so fun. I enjoyed it so much. It is so much better below then on the surface. I feel so vulnerable on the surface but down below you know whats around you, and above you.

We did go see a plane that is under the water and when we came up to it I FREAKED OUT. There was a LEG sticking out of the plane with a boot on it. I didn't like it at all. IT was a mannequin but still. Everyone was playing with it but I wanted out. Not a fan of that. The hardest part about scuba to me is not being able to TALK. I want to yell come one, wait for me, what is that, I'm scared, I'M FREAKING OUT! There are just stupid hand signals for I am dying and stuff.

That night DJ and I went and saw a movie while everyone else went and saw the other play GREASE. I was sad to miss it but we were so tired and exhausted a movie was perfect.

We had a really Fast fun weekend. I love going down there every year. I wasn't able to go last year and was really bummed. Wish I had more pictures of the weekend but I don't.

Four Wheeling, Grass, A Birthday, & Rockets= Busy Weekends

As we are closing into our last summer months/weeks. (Awful to say I know) DJ and I have been so BUSY! We have been doing so much that this might be a long post. Got to get it all in the book though. So since my last post which was only two weeks ago, We spent the last weekend in July up in Paradise Four Wheeling with my Sister Ashley and her family. We went up with my Mom and Dad. It was a lot of fun except for I got thrown off the Four Wheeler once and my Mom got stabbed with a stick. She got a wicked bruise and a perfect circle puncture wound. To say the least it was so FUN! One of DJ and I favorite activity of the summer.

THEN on the first day of AUGUST was my wonderful husbands BIRTHDAY! He turned the big 25. When we were in Logan we stopped at Maddox's on the way home to get dinner and of course had the waiters sing to DJ. His birthday was kind of a bore. He didn't want to do anything. AT ALL! He doesn't like the attention.

My Mom made him a cake on Sunday and we sang and opened presents. The wind actually blew out his candles before he even got a chance to. No wishes for him I guess.

Justin became an adorable Rodeo Clown with DJ's wrapping paper.

I hid DJ's Present since the big one I got him hadn't shipped yet. He had to go on a warmer colder hunt. He found it pretty fast though.

Got his favorite black on black converse. His pair wore out.

THEN FOR SOME BIG NEWS ON THE HOME FRONT. BEFORE THIS WEEKEND.

AFTER THIS WEEKEND AND SOME REALLY HARD WORK FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

WHOO HOO!!!! SO EXCITED.

So this weekend we went to Hell Fire which is a huge UROCK festival in a way. My brother in law Kelly is President so we drove clear to Wendover/Boneville Salt Flats with pretty much the whole Mott family. But on the way we went past this.....

WHY The heck is there a huge metal hideous tree out in the middle of freakin no where. Just putting it out there. WEIRD.

We took DJ's little brother Jett. He really likes the whole rocket stuff. I think he really liked it and had a lot of fun. It was an all day event. It was extremely HOT and sweaty but the salt was amazing. The last time I was there was when we were taking my Bridals.

Jeeping Saturday

We went out on Saturday up above Heber over to Strawberry Lake and ate lunch at Daniels Summit then went over the hill to Wallsburg and into Provo Canyon and home. Lots of places, Lots of Sun, and Fun!

It was a gorgeous view.

There was snow that we had a snowball fight in my hilarious mother even did a Snow Angel!

We found this beautiful wildflower field by Daniels Summit. The flowers went on forever.

ALEXANDER LAKE

For the last three years DJ and I have been going up to Alexander Lake (a beautiful small lake above Kamas right before you hit Mirror Lake) once a year. It has been such a fun tradition. Although this year was not quite as great as the last it was still memorable. The MOSQUITOES were HORRIBLE! We couldn't even do anything without getting eating alive. We went through 4 bottles of repellent in two days. Don't let me even mention what going to the bathroom was like. I have more on my butt then any other place on my body. NOT FUN.

It's always an adventure up there. We went up with our friends Erin and Brett who had their friends Jessica and Adam with them. They all had their dogs up there to so Harley had some to play with.

JULY WEEKENDS

July Weekends.

We have had a crazy July already. I really feel like summer is flying by so fast that I'm ganna miss out on all the things I wanted to do. So last Saturday we had a free day and I really wanted to go out and do something with Harley outside. So DJ and I headed up to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. It was a really hot beautiful day but it was the Sat before the 4th so it was BUSY CRAZY CROWDED. I've never seen so many people. Well anyway we hiked up to the top and it was really nice to just be out doing something.

Then Monday on the 4th we spent a lot of time with family. We went and hiked Stewart Falls in Provo Canyon in the morning. (we did a lot of hiking for the week) We then went and had a bbq at the Mott's and watched fireworks in the street.

DJ's sisters Tiffany and Jenny (and her adorable family) are both in town so we went to the Kasch's on Tuesday to have a good ol BBQ again and do Fireworks but we got rained out with that crazy storm that went through so we watched the rainbow instead.

We have had so much fun with all the family. It's great to have everyone in town and so fun to be all together.

We have been really busy also trying to get yard done and projects in the house. We finally almost have our topsoil down and hopefully in a few weeks have sod down. It'll be nice to have the cool grass to sit on. I can't wait.

Then last of all I have been given a great opportunity to overcome a fear I have always had. If you know me you know that I am completely and insanely TERRIFIED of....

SHARKS

Well I have been having this guy named Chad do some wood work for some of my Design Jobs lately and he is a SCUBA MASTER also. He has been begging (in his words strongly persuading) me to learn and overcome my fear of well water in general for a year and a half now. Well he offered me a free class to learn to....

and I finally decided that it was worth a try. Now I don't know if I ever will dare to go in the ocean the thought of going in the Homestead Crater is FREAKING ME OUT let alone the deep wide ocean full of sharks. Anyway I have gone to the classes and had some pool time and I have enjoyed it so far. We will see how well I do in the Crater. DJ has been going to the pool time with me also so he knows what I am learning and to calm my nerves since I am so not a water person. I really appreciate that he is doing it with me.

This is just the beginning of our crazy summer....

March 18, 2006 was the first day I met the boy who would someday be the love of my life. That day was not that day though. My friend was actually dating him at the time and introduced us one night at his parents house. He was what I like to call RUDE, JERK, MEAN.... any other word in that range. I couldn't even believe my friend was dating him. Then months went by before I ever saw him again. One day I was hanging out with a group of friends and one of the boys got a call on him phone from a guy who was best friends with his sister. Well it happened to be the same RUDE boy, my friend and him had broken up during the few months before, so I decided to be a little funny and took the phone from him and made a fool out of myself on the phone. Then a couple weeks later I got a call from him asking if I would come hang out with him and his friend, I told him I was going to a concert that night and would meet up with them after. So my two girlfriends (Katie and Becca) and I went to the Black Eye'd Peas concert and met them at like midnight in the Kohlers parking lot in Highland. His friend was pretty cute and I still thought this boy was RUDE so I paid all attention to the friend. Well this friend and I started dating and I ended up hooking up RUDE boy with my friend Katie.

Well one night us four were out on a date and it was funny cause the whole date I was talking to RUDE boy and Katie was talking to the Friend. So after the date I got this call from RUDE boy asking if I wanted to come hang out. Not really realizing what was going on I said yes. Don't ask me why since I was starting to kinda date the friend but I was curious and he had really caught my eye the last few times we had hung out. So he picked me up and we went to his apartment and spent the whole night talking about EVERYTHING! I left there totally in awe. I really liked him. He was kind and had a dangerous side that really intrigued me. Well the next day I left on a week long cruise with my family. So I was totally out of reach of everything.

The day I returned I called my friend Katie to tell her sorry and that I think I really liked the RUDE boy. She laughed and told me that while I had been gone she had started to like the Friend and RUDE boy was patiently waiting for my return. I couldn't believe it, we had totally switched boys. It was so funny.

Well I got back and summer started up in a whirl wind. We were always together. I'd leave work and go straight to his apartment tell curfew. We were totally inseparable.

Now onto the whole point of this long story..... Along came June 26, 2006 and I was out golfing with who we will now call DJ cause he had extremely changed my views of him. DJ had borrowed his buddies dad's golf clubs and ended up breaking one of the drivers. So we headed off to Sports Authority in Orem and while we were in the store he looked over at me and so unromantic said you want to be my girlfriend, I laughed and said yes as we checked out and headed back to his place. Every High school girls dream right!

Well three years went by fast. There were two break ups and two make ups. There was a summer completely apart while we dated other people and then in August of 08 we found each other again. We struggled though our past and the approval of our family and realized there was no one else in the world for each other.

Six months later we were engaged. He proposed on the beach in Miami Florida on a beautiful full moon night. It was so romantic and everything I had ever dreamed it would be. The next day we sailed out on a Cruise to the Bahama's just like the one I'd been on when we had first liked each other.

Six months after that we were married on JUNE 26, 2009. Exactly three years later from our official together date. Now two years later we are still those crazy kids in love. Our life has blossomed so much! We been on a ton of trips, bought a home, and adopted a puppy.

I love you so much DJ Kasch. These five years have been the most amazing of my life. I have learned so much about myself and you. You brought out a side of me that I love. I am so happy that we made it through the thick and thin. I treasure you so much and every moment I wake up next to you. I love you.

OBX Trip

My family had a very wonderful family reunion in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

We did so much on our trip... Lighthouses, Fires on the beach, Scubadiving with SHARKS (only DJ, Kelly, Cameron, and Dad), Flights in Biplanes, Walks during the sunrise on the beach, LOTS OF BEACH TIME, Late night games with the siblings, and a whole lot of other stuff.

My pictures are really scrambled together. Here they are in all their happy glory.

Our fire on the beach was very fun! It was odd to stand by a fire and have it be hot outside.

The Sunrises were amazing. Although I only was up for a part of one. DJ caught one too.

We had a big water fight for my Mom's birthday party. It wasn't planned but everyone got involved and it was a ton of fun. We hit a pinata that was an Angry Bird. The whole party was Angry Bird themed.

We had a lot of laughs so I just added some odd ones.

Our view was amazing. We had a beach house right on the beach that had a private boardwalk out to the beach with a pool and hot tub. It was gorgeous.

We spent a lot of time on the beach. The girls all got glitter toe's (plus Kelly). We all had such fun together.

We spent a lot of time checking out all the surrounding city's. Manteo, Duck, Currituck, and many others.

We ate dinner all together a few times all 28 of us around one table.

DJ ate lots of Seafood. Which is nasty. I was starving by the time we got home cause there was nothing to eat.

There were these really cool sand dunes that are the largest on the east coast or something. Amber, Gregg and her family were there and we all jumped the dunes and ran down the hills, some fell down the hills but it was so fun.

We went to the Wright Brothers Memorial. It was very interesting but yet boring all at the same time.

My sister Amber took our family pictures. DJ and I felt like it was our engagement pictures all over but they turned out really cute.

We went on a ferry out to Oakercoke Island.

I took a TON of pictures.

Our Biplane ride was pretty cool.

There were a few Geo Caches around so one of them was in like an animal refuge. It was fun except for a few in the family ended up getting Tics.

Then last but not least of course. We went to the Nights in Rodanthe House. It is a Nicholas Sparks book/Movie if you haven't ever seen it you need to. the house was very cool.

We had so much fun and hope that our family does it again in the future. Its always so fun to be able to hang out with your family like we got to. I love them all so much and am so thankful to have such a great group to call mine. Love you guys.

Although I don't have any pictures really this last two weeks have been INSANE! I am doing two large design jobs and the parade of homes starts this week so it has been just a little busy for me. DJ has had a lot of fun revamping the garage and working on the motorcycle. I am so excited for it to be warm and go on rides with him.

Anyway so since I don't really have any pictures here are a few of the parade of homes and well...... not a whole lot else. Sorry!

These are two different homes one is in Alpine and the other in Highland. Anyway they have been turning out really cute. It starts on June 3rd and goes tell the 18th. You'll have to go check it out.

We are off to Nags Head this weekend. It is a much overdue trip.

Nothing Special

DJ and I's lives are crazy right now. We got our sprinkler system in, THANKS TO MY AMAZING BROTHERS KELLY AND GREGG AND MY WONDERFUL FATHER. They all worked their butts off all day to help us. I can't even begin to find the words to thank them. I am so thankful for their hard work we never could have done it with out their help. My Sisters and Mom came over to hang out with me while the boys all worked.

It looks like DJ is hitting Harley in this picture but he really wasn't. Weird timing.

We then had a chill weekend watching about half of my nephews. It was my sisters Amber's birthday and my brothers Wedding Anniversary so we took all their kids for the night so they could all go enjoy themselves. The two oldest spent the night and we really had a fun time with all of them..... Good birth control though! :)

The youngens got in my cupboard, YES it is empty. DJ and I don't have enough to even begin to fill all our cupboard space.

In other business. DJ has been really busy with this sweet little thing. This was actually DJ's very first bike. I remember when we picked it up when we were first dating. He like paid 200 bucks for it and we literally lifted it into his truck. Well he has since given it to his little brother Taylor and him and his Dad are all working on making it run.

I on the other hand have been really busy with work. I have some pretty big design jobs going on right now and the Parade of Homes is in two weeks. I am helping with two of the homes in Highland and Alpine so it'll be a busy next few weeks. Then thankfully after that we are headed to the Outer Banks in NC for a amazing family vaca.

Easter Week

I am a week late but here are our Easter details. The beginning of the week was the pine wood derby for DJ's little brother Jett. He didn't get first but he got pretty close. Those boys are really into this derby thing so they were pretty excited for this race.

They were more anxious then Jett I think.

Yep he got me my burlap Toms. I looked forever for these and my perfect hubby found them online. Yes I am so obsessed with burlap that I now wear it!

The Saturday of Easter weekend we went out West with my family to build a fire, roast some hot dogs, do a small Easter egg hunt and roll the eggs down a hill. It was a bit chilly and very fun!

Harley came with us of course, he goes everywhere we go. The only problem is he loves other dogs and goes where ever they are so he ended up in the truck since he wouldn't stay by us.

Easter morning was pretty boring at our house. I hid a basket for DJ and we dyed some eggs. Yahoo! we are so exciting. DJ did have Mario Cart for the WII in his basket though. We spent the day with DJ's Dad eating Lamb and then his Mom's visiting with all the family. It was a really great relaxing holiday.

So DJ and I have decided that our lives have become so crazy! Getting a house is so fun but so BUSY. We laid cement for our patio this weekend. It was so EARLY! Our good friend Matt did everything for it. We were so thankful. We had the cement delivered at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. I haven't been up that early in forever. DJ and I were dying trying to stay awake. It looks really good though and got me really excited for us to get our yard finished for the summer.

Yes this is the cement truck there at 5:30 a.m. whoever thought up of that time was crazy.

House and Harley!

DJ and I moved into our new house. It has been so amazing.

Well let me rephrase that I read a magazine while DJ moved.... Haha I'm so kidding. Moving was a pain though.

Anyway, now that we are in we love the neighborhood and its been so fun having a house and it feels like a whole new life. I haven't taken pictures really of the inside so I can't show it off but it is seriously way cute! I'll have to get some pictures. Since we have moved I've been really busy with crafts though. So here are a few....

I started this dresser. I got it sanded and painted and am almost done. I will show the finished product when It's done.

Then this chair I got from my grandma when she passed a few years ago. I've had many plans for it and finally decided on what to do. So I got to work with my handy sander and staple gun.

I painted it white and sanded it again for a very distressed look. Then I wrapped it up in Burlap which makes it not the most comfortable chair but sure is cute and shabby. I put a few ruffles in the back to add a very feminine look and some rosettes on the corner. I just love it. I need a fun pillow for it but I love it.

SO I had these lamps at my wedding and they are way cute but I have changed all my decor to brown so I don't have anymore black so I wanted to do something cute with them so I could still use them cause lamps can get expensive. SO.......

I wrapped the shade in burlap and then took strips of burlap and folded them in half and hot glued them in "squiggles" along the whole shade so they looked like ruffles. I painted the base and modgepodged book pages onto the silver part for a really vintage look. They turned out cute. If you can't tell I'm obsessed with BURLAP!

I got this really cute Idea from a teacup thing I saw on a blog. I loved it so made my own little version. But I put my mugs in my glass canister.

Then for conference weekend my sisters and mom and I made these really cute Easter wreaths. We just took a grape vine wreath and tied on some burlap strips and some ribbon then filled it with all things Easter. Butterfly stickers, toiling, postcards and vintage photo's. It is so cute. I wish it wasn't for Easter so I could have it up all the time.

This is probably one of my favorite projects that I am in the middle of right now. My husband was kinda upset that I am painting a brand new wall but now that it is about half done he loves it. Anyway, so my wall was a white eggshell and I painted its a really light aqua.

I then traced a pattern all over the wall with a template board.

Then I started to paint it. I started it off with a white paint but it wasn't showing up at all so I ended up doing a gray. Its all by hand so it is still a working progress I'm about half way. But I'm ganna LOVE IT! It's right in my entry so It's what you first see. I love first impressions!

So now that we talked about HOUSE lets move on to HARLEY!

Now Harley is our new Dog. He is the cutest most mellow puppy you have ever met. WE LOVE HIM. Well we LOVED him. I'll just explain a little bit about Harley to you so you can understand where we are coming from.

Now we adopted Harley from a lady in West Valley who adopted him from an abusive owner. We were really excited to have a dog and we have really enjoyed it too.... well until.......

So, we picked him up at about 5 p.m. or so and then went straight to Don and April's to show off our new dog. Then stopped at my sister Misty's house to show Kelly our new dog. Then we got home. We had been home for 5 mins... 5 mins! and he RAN AWAY! DJ opened up the door and he booked it through his legs. So then we spent the next two days searching for him which we did find him about five times but we would get about twenty feet from him and he would take off. So finally a cute little girl called and asked if we had lost our dog. He was like next door! So then we got him home and bathed him and then our lovely little family began!

So the next day we went to work and locked him in our mud room and he decided he didn't like it I guess cause he ate... ATE.... my base bored, scratched my wall a ton and ate the bottom of my door. Now remember that this is a new house! BRAND NEW! Luckily DJ is a very handy man and was able to fix it all so you can't even tell what happened.

Then we switched his dog food of course and he got the runs. Like the runniest runs ever! not to be to graphic. Anyway, he would whine at the door and we had one second to book it out the door before he would go. So in other words we didn't always make it time. It was not fun.

We had to take him out in mud and snow it sucked.

Then we got him neutered which wasn't bad except for he kept licking himself. So we had to keep a close eye on him when he didn't have the cone on.

ganna give it about another week and try a kennel. So, if someone is wanting a really good boxer that is 2 years old, neutered, potty trained and really good with kids let me know!

Anyway, then there are just a few more odds and ends left. Almost done I promise.....
It was my cousin Cecily's wedding so we worked on wedding flowers on Wednesday and set up the wedding on Thursday.

Here is our random family moments. My sister Megan and Ashley came down for awhile to visit so we made our Easter wreaths and went to dinner at the Country Club.

So our life has been crazy the last three weeks since we moved in. I can't believe how much life can change in such little time.

OK here goes a lot of nothing posts but I don't want to forget anything for my book. Blogger has been a pain lately. It wasn't letting me download pictures, so now that I can it's ganna be a lot of past happenings.

First is VALENTINES DAY! Yes Long time ago.

DJ and I celebrated on Friday before (like everyone else in the state). We went to dinner with some friends (Sean and Aubree) at Pei Wei (my new favorite resturant) then went to see the movie Just Go With It. It was really good. DJ sent flowers to my work and bought me the cutest Betzy Johnson watch. I got him a display case for all his watches. Anyway so exciting I know.....

My brother Cameron and his wife Kathryn and their adorable boy Micheal have moved into the basement of the house we rent and it has been so much fun. We have watched lots of movies with them and so here is one of about a million photos of Micheal.... I got bored. The movie was funny though.

Then that same week My Mom and I threw my best friend Katie Brown a bridal shower. It was the first time that Lynsey Leiter, Katie and I had been all together in a long time. We had so much fun catching up on life. I miss the old days where the neighborhood would all play together. Life sure does change.

Well that same week we had two birthday parties we had to go to. The first one was DJ's Godson Gabe's 3rd Birthday. He is such a cute kid. We partied at the aquarium in Sandy. It was like the perfect spot for a kids birthday. So fun.

The other birthday was for my Nephew Justin who turned 1! They did the whole cake on the floor thing and it sure did make me smile. I love 1 year old birthday parties.

This month also was a little reunion for the neighborhood friends to get together again since all the guys are back from missions and girls are married. Yeah it was kind of weird but it was fun.

On Feb. 26 Katie B got married. It was such a beautiful wedding. She made a beautiful bride.

My Mom and I did the flowers. So here are a few pictures of them.

DJ finished his bike this month. It looks amazing. He got it painted and new pipes put on. The thing is LOUD! But my baby sure is happy, so that makes me happy. HE said he is finished but I know better.

This past weekend we went up to Boise, Idaho with my family to my new niece Isabella's blessing. It was fun to finally get to see Meg's house and have a weekend away since we have been so busy with .... News that will follow...... We played in the pool, went to the movies, played games, and had lots of good family time.

Micheal fell asleep out in the cold. I couldn't handle the cute cheeks on this kid.

My sisters Megan and Ashley had babies 10 days apart from each other Isabella and then Talon. Its so fun to have babies around.

ON TO CRAFTS!

Dana found DJ and I this little end table so I decided to spruce her up a bit.

I painted her white with a brown glaze, sanded it down and added a blue and brown damask print paper to the inside with some modgepodge. It turned out perfect. I love the burst of color.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

We close on it a week from today! It's in Lehi right by the Jordan River. This is such an exciting thing for DJ and I. It is the perfect time in our lives and we couldn't be more happier with the house we got. It was like our third one we looked at and we signed papers right there. I'll update on more details when I have more time and haven't posted my whole life story in one post.

Cruise & Birthday Fun

So I'm apologizing in advance that this is going to be a long post. So much to show and tell.

I spent the last two weeks traveling the east.... I spent a week in Atlanta, Georgia for work at the accessory market and then flew to Tampa, Florida to meet DJ, his Mom and step Dad, my Mom and Dad, my Sister Misty and her husband Kelly and their two kids David and Kage. It was a really fun group! We laughed the whole time.

DJ and I have only been apart once before since we have been married so we were excited to see each other again after market.... Us in the airport in Tampa.

Ahoy we are off to sea.

We went from Tampa to the Cayman Islands, Grand Cayman. We had a day at sea first.

Elegant Evening

Mama Snorkling..... For the record I did get in a snorkel for about 5 mins, which led to a pretty bad panic attack which resulted in my Dad having to get me back to the boat. Man I do not do good in deep water.

Then they put them on your back.... not expecting it and didn't like it.

Of course Kelly needed more then seven years so he licked it.

Then we headed to Roaton Island, Hondorous.

This was actually a very beautiful stop. It was probably my favorite. We just sat on the beach at this little resort. We got to drive through the city though which was very pretty sad.

Then we were supposed to go to Belize but because of some random "Tendering" boat issue we weren't able to which was really sad cause it was the stop I was looking most forward too. Especially since it was my Birthday. So instead we switched around stops and ended up in Cozumel a day early.

We did another sit on the beach day which was fabulous. The boys and Dana went Scubadiving for a little while. They all came back saying it was the most amazing thing they have ever done.

The waiter made me a birthday crown from a napkin and they all sang me happy birthday.

We all went parasailing. It was so fun we all had a blast except for Dana.... She got really sick up in the air.

Then next stop was Costa Maya which took place of Belize.... It was a really poor Mexico town but we made the most of it. We went four wheeling through the town and spent some time shopping and sitting on a beautiful beach. It was so hot we were all melting......

David kept mentioning that all the statues were of boobs or half girls have boys.... haha so Mom decided to take a picture!

We went to senior frogs which totally robbed us... haha our bill was way to much but because seniorita don't speak no spanish and don't know peso money we didn't know....

We got balloon hats, it was a fun place to eat regardless.

We had another "Formal" night but I was just going through all my pictures and realized I don't have any from the night which is really sad. Hopefully someone I was with does.

The next day was our last sea day..... It was so windy and a bit chilly outside that we spent the day shopping and playing games and eating eating eating.

I was going to upload a bunch of our videos since we really only used our flip cameras the whole time but it takes way to long to load so I'm just doing this one..... The main room in the ship had glass stairs. My Mom was a wee bit scared going up them. Funny video.

HOME EXPO

My work had a two booths at the Home Expo this weekend. One of them was a competition booth. I actually ended up getting 1st place (Gold Award). There was a Designer of the Year award I was hoping for but maybe next year. Anyway just thought I'd show off some of the pictures. Ignore the price tags.

Well I'm off to Atlanta, Georgia this week to go to the buyers market for Osmonds. Then I am flying from there to Tampa Florida to meet my family and DJ's to go cruising in the Caribbean, so I'm going to be out of the blogging world for about two weeks. So talk to you later. :)

MY SICK NEW YEARS

Well DJ and I had great fun party hopping New Years Eve plans but of course I had to be sick. I got a wicked cold that knocked me out. So my sweet husband sat home with me and watched a movie. It was probably the most unproductive new years of my life but it was one of the most fun some how. We watched "My Cousin Vinny" on Netflix and then watched the ball drop on the TV and then by 12:10 were in bed.

DJ went snowboarding New Years day while I slept in and then went to a movie with my family. It was a lovely recouping day. Well hope you all have a Happy New Years.

CHRISTMAS!

Christmas for us is always really CRAZY. We have LOTS LOTS LOTS of family. We went from family party to family party eating lots of yummy food and enjoying lots of great family time. We seriously have the best families in the whole world. We are so thankful for the many gifts we received and the wonderful family we have. We love you all very much!

So DJ and I have been awful with surprises we have been opening our Christmas for a month now. So we decided to just open our stockings the day before Christmas since we were going to stay the night at my parents.

We had breakfast out with my family then the guys in my family decided to go shooting and I had gotten DJ a Shot Gun for Christmas so I decided to give it to him early also. I had to make it suspenseful though so I sent him on a Scavenger hunt around my parents house looking for it. I didn't have my camera on me so no pictures of him being all embarrassed looking for it. I was very poetic with my hunt though it was pretty good if i do say so myself.

He was a very happy camper. It wasn't exactly what he wanted but I think/hope he loved it. It was a Benelli Nova 12 gage Pump Shotgun.

We went to the Watkins family party at DJ's Moms house on Christmas Eve. (of course I forgot my camera again.)

Gregg (my brother in law) thought it would be funny to give Justin Ready Whip from the can with out his wife (Amber , my sister) from knowing and then take pictures of him doing it so she would find it on her camera later. it was pretty funny when she came across it.

We played some good ol' Rock Band. I have never been good at this game so I just sang that was all i could really do.

We spent the night at my parents house and woke up to lots of presents and yummy breakfast.

DJ got himself some new Exhaust Pipes so he installed them and oh my they are LOUD! So now just a new paint job and it'll be all done.

DJ's Dad had to work all day so we got to be there when he opened all his Christmas. April got him an Evo that he was not expecting and he was so excited.

We gave April and Don a framed picture that Don took awhile back.

All in all it was an amazing Christmas. We couldn't be more Thankful for all of our family!

Thanksgiving Finally and other stuff....

So I know i am way late on blogging about this but gotta fit it in the book so better late then never. Just to recap on our month. Work has been crazy for me. I have now done 26 christmas trees and am so DONE with Christmas. I now have to work only four days a week which leaves me with three day weekends. Thought I would love it but come to find out I am bored out of my mind on my days off. DJ is still just being DJ working on his motorcycle and loving his job. Blah blah anyway........

Well on to Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving between DJ's Moms and Dads. We started off at Dana's. It was the whole Boshard family there. It was really good to see everyone and chit chat. I made some floral center pieces for the tables. They turned out really pretty. (Still trying to learn my camera so lots of these photos are "learning" photos.

The sunrise (which I never get to see) was amazing yesterday. So i had to get a picture to say I saw it!

Then one of my favorite ladies in the whole world (I work with her) Monette. Asked me to make her a book wreath for a gift for her sister in exchange for.....

These!!! I have had my eye on these paintings for awhile and i love them. They are ganna look so great in my bedroom which had new bedding!!!! I'll post photos of that once I have my room all finished. But I am so excited for my new artwork!

Holidays and Crafts

This might be a long post.... sorry.

I have been very busy this last week or so. Between work, crafts and holiday preparing it's been CRAZY!
So lets begin with... crafts.
When I was young I had a white mirror hung in my room which my whole family has always called the "pink" room because it had pink carpet up until about 10 years ago. We also had the "blue room". Anyway back to the subject, This mirror hung there for years then it disappeared and who knows where it went to... until my mom and dad cleaned their garage and decided to take the beauty to DI!!!! I couldn't let this happen so i took it home like any craft junkie would do and I redid it......

Then DJ's Mom hooked us up with a dresser from her friend.... It was actually pretty ug and I didn't get a before picture but imagine and straight lined 9 drawer dresser that is OAK! ugh

I repainted in white put a brown glaze over it and sanded the edges. I also cut out two of the drawers and made an opening for the basket and put black handles on it. SO CUTE!

Then onto the next subject. Work which is normally really boring but I decided I finally need to start a portfolio so i took some pictures at my work of the trees I have done so I decided to post my favorite one.

Then I did this tree for Larry H. Miller Chevy car dealership in Murray. It was a 12ft candy cane beauty.

Then since we are on Christmas Trees I also helped my sister Misty and my Mom do their christmas trees. i didn't get a picture of Misty's which is to bad cause it was very cool but my moms ended up being what DJ called a "willey wonka" tree. Pinks, greens, and reds. So fun.

Then of course last but not least of this posts subjects.... MY Christmas decor.

My amazing brother in law cut us down a tree on his land since DJ and I were to late on getting a permit this year. It was quite the charley brown tree but it turned out so sticken cute. Very pottery barn. Much better then last year. I also did my mantle very cute. Everything is white and brown with touches of blue.

My stockings from last year were red so I had to get some new ones so I found burlap online for my tree and took about a half a yard and made these stockings! I love them. they turned out perfect.

Say Cheese!

DJ gave me an early Christmas present last night!!!! He is awful with surprises and I have been really needing one so...... I opened it way early. Anyway, it was a really nice Nikon camera. My mom has the same one and I'm always pulling it out and playing with it so he thought I'd love it and I sure did. He is so sweet to me. It was pretty funny though cause he spent all night playing with it. Not me. He loved it.

Then I had the day off today so my friend Katie is getting married and I went dress shopping with her. I took my new camera to learn how to use it. I'm still ganna need to read all about it cause I couldn't quite get the great picture I wanted. Anyway here are a few of them. It was a lot of fun to go out with the girls. I feel like I haven't done anything like it years. I'm so unsociable I feel like.

Apparently I Teach!

So my work has done these Design Classes every so often the last few years. Well this year I finally got brave enough to teach it. Normally the class has about 30 people in. Pretty small but they are always really fun. Anyway, this year of course the year I decide to teach there is 95 people who showed up. Who would have guessed. The class went amazing and I can hardly believe people actually ate up every word I said. This was my display that I put together for my examples. So thats that i guess. Just a small update.

Witches&Witches&Witches

Witches Night Out at Gardner's Village is a tradition in the Mott family. All of my sisters, mom and I go to it every year. It is so fun to just people watch and its a fun excuse to dress up too I guess. Anyway, it was as exciting as always this year. Lots to see and Lots to stare at! I'm always Kind of a pooper and never dress up but I decided to dress up this year and I'm glad I did it was a lot of fun.

Then we had the annual Grammy's Monster Mash, a fun party my Mom puts on for all the grandkids. Of course we all dress up for this also.

DJ was here for this but didn't was a stinker and didn't dress up.

Then later that night we watched our friends little girl Jadelyn. She is the cutest little thing ever. She really wanted to carve a pumpkin into a cute little kitty. So Dj got on the internet and looked up pictures and then she chose this evil devil kitty. We thought is was so funny. We love this girl!

Crafts&Play

This last weekend we carved pumpkins.... ate way to many treats, watched scary movies, spent lots of time with family, and I did craft after craft.

On Saturday night we had a bunch of friends over for pumpkin carving.

I've been in a crafty mood this last week I guess. I have done quite a few projects.

I made this cook sign for my Kitchen. It turned out so sticken cute!

I made this book wreath for my living room collage wall.

Then I made the wheat thing for my Kitchen Table. I saw it in Pottery Barn but decided I could make it for way cheaper then they had it. It only cost me $10. I'm so Domestic! ha ha

October Fun....

DJ and I really like the Fall season. I guess it is because it is the start to all the holidays, we get to sit inside around a small space heater and watch episode after episode of whatever TV show we are into at that time, we get to do random Fall activities like carve pumpkins, go to corn mazes, and haunted things (only DJ on that last one). Every thing about Fall is so fun. You get to get those winter clothes out that you have had boxed away cause the closet is to small to fit your summer and winter at the same time. I love boots and sweaters. Anyway enough said.

Well these last two weeks DJ have been doing all of the above.

-We went up to a condo with my family in Powder Mountain. It was just an over nighter but so much fun. We were right on this like vintage ski resort. We hiked to see all the colored leaves. Tried to go Snype Hunting with the kids. Ate yummy homemade doughnuts, and played game after game with my family.

-Last night we went to Corn Belly's with Joey, Brooke, Emily, and Chad. We went through the Haunted corn maze which was so not my thing. I covered my face in my hood the whole time.... which resulted in me stepping on one of the scare workers face. She was on the ground acting like this guy was killing her and the guy came up to me with his knife and I went to run around him and didn't see her on the ground.... Lesson to her.... don't lay on the ground in the middle of a dark haunted pathway with screaming girls like me. Hope she was ok cause I didn't turn back around to ask.

We played like kids on the pillow jump thing and the rocking chair. The boys all got on the bull riding thingy too. Which if I do say so myself is always a joy to watch.

Don't ask why he always chooses to pull faces. I decided it's a Kasch thing since Whitney always does it to.

FALL LEAVES

On Thursday I got a much needed day off work. (My work is opening a new store in Orem. It has been crazy trying to get it all put together for the opening on Oct. 1st.) So DJ and I went on a motorcycle ride with Don and April up the canyon to see the new color changing leaves. We drove the loop up and around to Park City (Don had to measure a house for a job) then went back down Provo Canyon to Riverwoods and shopped and ate at Macaroni Grill. It was a really fun day. We were really glad to have the company. Thanks Don and April for going with us. Here are some pretty sad pictures of our adventure. I was a horrible photographer.

Camping Trips, Weddings and just Play

We have been busy busy these last few weeks. Last weekend we went to Midway with my family to Swiss Days and Camped with my sister Amber and her family.

On Saturday we went to Park City to meet up with DJs Boshard family reunion. I really didn't get many pictures of the weekend so sorry..... just a lot of talk.

Then this last weekend we went up to Logan to my sister Ashley's new house to help out with her sister-in-laws wedding flowers. It was a beautiful wedding. I really enjoy doing wedding flowers. I'm so grateful to have a mom that teaches me so much. DJ even came along to help. I thought he was ganna die of boardom but I am really thankful that he came to spend time with me. I really appreciate him.

The Whites let us stay in some little cabins that their family owns. They were a lot of fun.

LAKE POWELL

I have never been to Lake Powell.... I know weird for me who has been blessed to have traveled so much. Well that was until this weekend. Dj's friend, Tom, invited us down to lake powell to stay on his house boat with him and his adorable family. I was only able to get the weekend off of work. So we headed up late Friday night and spent all Saturday on the lake. It was amazing and so fun. I even got in the water and tried to Wakeboard for the first time. I wasn't successful though, I could not stand up. Tubing was a blast though we are feeling pretty soar today though.

We had quite the amazing sunset on the way down.

ITS HERE! IT FINALLY CAME!

I have been trying to get a new sofa since January. It's a lot harder then I ever thought it could be. First when you work at a furniture store its hard to choose anything cause your worried the next day something cuter and better will come in so you just choose to wait. Well I finally got to the point that I just had to choose so DJ chose the frame and I chose the fabrics. We ordered and finally after all these months the beauty is here.

Isn't she amazing. I had to get the ottoman to go with it too. It all looks so perfect together.

But since I got the sofa and ottoman Dj of course thought he deserved something too so this was his baby.

We got a steal of a deal at Costco but it is a nice very big 50" almost to big for me. Glad we could both get something we wanted. Our house is so put together and cute now. I finished it off with a collage wall that turned out fun....

Anyway. I was so excited about it I had to brag. :)

Well anyway..... This week we went on another Jeep ride with the parents. We had a lot of fun. It was a hot beautiful day.

We went up and over Provo through to Daniels Summit the over and around the mountain. To be honest I'm not really sure where we all went but it was long.

BUSY BUSY PEOPLE!

So we have done so much these last weeks and I haven't even had a second to blog so lets begin on this journey. . . .
Well lets start off with last week.... My Hubby turned 24! He spent the whole weekend playing and celebrating. He went on a huge motorcycle ride on Saturday with about 100 other bikes.

Then we went out to dinner, played laser tag, and had friends over for poker.....

We love to give Joey a hard time about things so I have to add these pictures.....

He was so into my Cosmo magazine I had to take a picture but once he realized what I was doing he did.....

Then the next day We really celebrated Dj's big b day!

We opened presents then went on a long bike ride around the loop and over to Sundance. It was a beautiful day.

Then we went to his Mom's and ate dinner and hung out with his little brothers and then went to my parents for some cake/ eclare and games. (DJ didn't want a cake so my Mom just gave him an eclare with a candle instead.)

Then can I just talk about the hail storms we have been having for a second. I have never had a more horrible day at work then this last week. WATERFALLS were coming from the ceiling at Osmond's they were flowing down the walls and through the ceiling and through the floors. When I say WATERFALLS I mean WATERFALLS! So I just had to add this picture of us watching the storm from our porch. I love having a porch!

OK so moving on.... This weekend we went to the HATCH FAMILY REUNION. It was quite the camp out with Mosquitoes and rain storms but we had so much fun with the family. We camped in a little state park in GREEN RIVER UTAH! I've never been there and may I just say there isn't much "there". It was a beautiful scenery and the river rafting was a lot of fun.

DJ got to torment and torture his little brothers all weekend and I'm pretty sure he loved every second of it.... Here he tied Ridge into the hammock so we could flip him all the way around!

OK so only one more thing I want to add...

We had family photos taken with DJ's Dads family and they turned out so friggin cute I can't stand it. SO I just wanted to show some of them. Thanks Amy and Jen for putting it all together I've really been needing a Kasch Family photo.

Family Jeeping

We went out with my parents on Monday for a little jeep ride up the canyon. It started really fun... then it rained on us.... then it dropped to the low 60's. We still really enjoyed it though!

Then this weekend is DJ's Birthday... and thanks to his amazing Uncle Bob we were able to get him/I a sissy bar for his bike so I can ride more comfortably. Anyway another random post from our random lives.

THE ANNUAL ALEXANDER LAKE TRIP

So DJ and I have been so busy this summer with all of our fun trips. We are so lucky to have had so many things to do. This last weekend we went to Alexander Lake camping with some of our friends. It was such a blast. It was the second year we have done it. The lake is the most gorgeous place on earth I swear. It is this really remote lake up by Mirror Lake. We went with Brooke, Joey, and their two friends Emily and Chad.

So since we have been home our camera has gone MIA. We have searched high and low for that thing. We both remember unpacking it but now it is no where to be found so all these pictures are thanks to my friends facebook adds. Hopefully we will find our camera and be able to upload our pictures.

One of the days we went and found this Lambert Meadow and went shooting. Chad had a little 22 that didn't have a kick at all and I found out I'm actually a pretty good shot when I'm not scared of it. :)

We felt so dirty and hot one of the days so we decided to go shower in the lake. It was pretty cold but it sure felt good to be clean!

The day we got home we found out that Grandpa Kasch passed away. He was probably the funniest human being I have ever known. One time at a baptism in the chapel he yelled (he was hard of hearing) across the room to DJ "who is the blond bimbo ya got with you?" Just so you all know we had almost been married a year when he said it. He then decided right after to yell "DJ you still doing those Rated R websites?" Oh my I've never seen DJ go so red in my life. We will really miss him and his fun personality. We had such a fun week spending it with all of his dads family. We were so glad to see and meet everyone.

anyway kind of a random post I'm in a hurry but wanted to at least get it on here so ....... whatever.

A Month of FUN!

We have done so much in these last few weeks this might be the longest most scattered post ever. But since I turn this blog into a book every year I gotta keep track of all these things. So to start off from where I left off a few weeks ago....

DJ and I celebrated our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I can hardly believe it has been one year. I always kind of got annoyed when I would read peoples comments that said that. "We've been married a year. That flew by so fast!" You know what though? They are so true. It FLEW by! I guess your so busy you don't even realize how much time has passed.

I ended up having to work but DJ surprised me that evening with a hotel room at the Zermatt Resort in Midway. It was so gorgeous. We ate at the Homestead and went and looked at the Crater. It was fun I might of accidentally promised DJ I would learn to Scuba some day... I might have to break that promise now that my mind is in tacked. (Any one who knows me knows I'm deathly scared of what lies UNDER the WATER!) Anyway our weekend was amazing. I can not even begin to explain how lucky I am to have such an amazing husband. This year has been the best of my life and I know there are many many more to come. I have it so good!

Then that same weekend my whole family came in to town. It was the first time since my wedding we had all been together. It was so fun to have everyone around. My Sisters and I threw my Sister in Law Kathryn a baby shower on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday we all went to Eclipse. My sister Megan is somewhat obsessed but I love that she is. It was fun to get the whole inside scoop of the movie sitting next to her.

Then on Thursday (yes your getting a day by day blog!) we left on a family trip to Island Park, Idaho. My parents rented out a cabin about a half hour outside Yellowstone. We headed up a little early on Thursday to hit some random stops on the way.

We stopped at Smith and Edwards! I love that store. I think it is so funny. DJ had never been there and I'm pretty sure he loved it also. My Mom gave each kid $1, we each had to go pick out the funniest thing we could and whoever had the best won. Well I'm pretty sure DJ and I kicked butt! I got a (I'm pretty sure used) Rat Trap and DJ got a mosquito net hat.

Then we stopped at Lava Hot Springs. It was a BLAST. DJ, Gregg and I jumped off a 50ft. ( I think) platform. It was scary. We ended up swimming all afternoon.

Then we spent the night at Idaho Falls in a creepy nasty hotel we'll call it an adventure though!
The falls were beautiful though.

Then the next morning we hit BEAR WORLD! Ha ha ya gotta love good ol Bear World.

And finally we hit Island Park!

We took canoes out of the river, went to Yellowstone, took many many many family photos and it was all so fun!

We still have a few more trips planned for the summer so many more posts to come!

CAMPING

DJ finally convinced me to go camping for the first time this summer. I'm not a terribly huge fan of camping. I never went growing up except for the occasional "Girls Camp" so it never really excited me. I just don't get the point of sleeping in a tent on an air mattress when if we just drove twenty mins we could be home in our comfy bed. But anyway I went and it ended up being pretty fun!

We just stayed at the "Little Mill" up AF canyon. We were so lucky to get put right between the crying baby family, the barking dog family, and the very loud Hispanic family who was up tell 3 a.m..... Other then the sleeping part though it was nice. We took my Dad's Jeep and went up to Silver Lake on a drive that was beautiful.

There was a flood going over the road up around Alpine Loop area. It was like a whole river going over the road.

Anyway this is one of many camping trips I fear to come. Hopefully the next will be a little more exciting.
